Cliodhna - black ink Picture

This print started as one of a three part series based on the myth of Cliodhna [yes that is my name but it comes from irish mythology]. I had three large plates [24inches x 7inches] and this is the last image were Cliodhna falls asleep on the waves and is consumed by the sea. I made a mess of one plate and I'm not happy with the aquatint in the other so have ended up with just the one illustration. Her face is turned to the left as I wanted the three prints to be placed side by side [in the first she's looking right and in the second straight ahead] but as the other two didn't work out it now looks a little odd.

This print has been pulled with black ink mixed with a small amount of brown.
