the Void Picture

In Greek mythology, the earliest figures, the Protogenoi ("first born" or thereabouts) were said to have emerged from Chaos, which in the Greek tradition can mean "the void" or "nothingness." A lot of old creation stories work this way--first there was nothing/chaos, then something emerged from the nothing/chaos etc. I figured the best way to portray the Protogenoi emerging from the void was to have the void's hair be more like the goo of creation, sticking to things as they took shape. As creation progresses, the primordial slop gets left behind. Make sense?

Anywho, this is the void. Chaos. Nothingness. "In the beginning..."
