Triptych, Left Panel, Hour 8 Picture

This is after, no joke, eight hours of development with graphite, water soluble colored pencils and graphite, and acrylic paint. I think I'll probably try to make the rock look more rock-like before I call it "done." The pose made me think of someone laying on a beach, and I also wanted to go into mythology a bit, so the implication is that she is a siren or some sort of water creature. This is relevant to the rest of the thing as well, especially since I'm purposely going for a contrast of intimacy and loneliness among the three panels. I took a crapload of process pictures of this because at every new step I want to preserve that moment so I can observe the evolution over time. I usually forget to do that, but not this time! I might even upload them.
