Siren Sisters. Picture

The two Siren sisters Aglaopheme and Thelxiepeia enjoy their rare moment of peace among the flowers, singing and playing the harp.

Aglaopheme: The flying one, singing. She looks more liek a bird than her sister. x.x
Thelxiepeia: The one playing the harp. She actually has a lions' mane--since some versions of Sirens apparently had them. I think... thiiiink... those are tail feathers, coming out of her... rear. I guess that's why they're tail feathers.
They both have bird feet. c:

LOL I GOT THE NAMES FROM WIKIPEDIA. BECAUSE I'M NOT SMART ENOUGH TO MAKE UP COMPLICATED NAMES SUCH AS AGLAOPHEME AND THELXIEPEIA.
I actually have no idea what the actual Sirens look like.
But I really like this drawing. c:

I've been bulking up on my mythology. Dx

Especially on the water spirits. They call Sirens water spirits... but I don't see why... they can fly! D8
But I guess that's because they keep getting these bird girls mixed up with Mermaids--since Siren can be used for both water and sky creatures, apparently. >.>

Silly people.
Silly sailors.
Silly magicians.

Trix are for kids. D8<

ALSOALSO, FIRST TIME DRAWING BIRD PEOPLE. WITH ACTUAL BIRD FEET. SO THERE.
Go easy on me. D:
