96::In the Storm or "Andromeda"

Hello there, faithfull friends. How are you? Good? That's nice. I'm alright, thanks for asking.

I'm listening to a cool song right now. One of my friends gave me a ride home and they started playing the song. We were all singing/shouting along to it and people were staring. It was fun x]

So this is Andromeda, from Greek mythology. For those of you who aren't familiar with the story, here it is:

King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia had a daughter named Andromeda. Proud Cassiopeia spoke constantly of her daughter's beauty. One day, the foolish queen boasted that Andromeda was even lovelier than all of the daughters of Poseidon, the sea god. This angered the gods, and they began to think of a way to punish the queen. Poseidon sent a monster to destroy the land over which Cepheus and Cassiopeia reigned. Cepheus was told that, in order to win back Poseidon's favor, Andromeda was to be chained to a rock in the sea for the monster to devour - perhaps this would appease the angry sea god. As Andromeda lay chained, awaiting her fate, the hero Perseus was returning to his homeland. He had gone to slay the monsterous Medusa, a woman with snakes for hair who turned people to stone when they looked at her. Perseus wore the winged sandles of Hermes, Messenger of the Gods, and saw Andromeda as he flew over. He learned of her sad tale and fell immediately in love. (How sweet...ugh.) When the sea monster came to devour the princess, Perseus, who seemed to be on a roll at the time, two monsters in one day, killed the sea monster. Andromeda was free, Poseidon was soothed, and Perseus had a girlfriend. They got married and had lots of little Greek children.
The End.
